Via collaboration with the HK Council of Social Service, Dustykid AI, featuring a psychological counseling framework, can provide emotional support for the affected residents in the Tai Po fire. In addition, "Professor E", launched three years ago, aids students with psychological issues and stress at five universities and will be extended to secondary schools. Prof. LI Zexiang, Professor of Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering (ECE), emphasized the need to establish a new STEM education system centered on the cultivation of entrepreneurial talent. A study, co-authored by Prof. Stuart GIETEL-BASTEN, Professor of the Division of Social Science (SOSC) and Division of Public Policy (PPOL), indicated that investing in public health to reduce preventable deaths is more effective than increasing birth rates to combat population decline. Prof. Stuart GIETEL-BASTEN highlighted that in countries facing significant population decline, achieving mortality rates similar to Japan’s could lower the projected population loss from 33.8 million to just 1.7 million people.
