HKUST announced a strategic collaboration with Solomon Learning Group to establish the AI Literacy Hub, a major initiative of AI education in HK. At the launching ceremony, Prof. Nancy IP, the President of HKUST, stated the hub will serve as a dynamic platform to develop AI education programs for primary and secondary schools, conduct community outreach, and communicate AI developments to the public. Led by Dr. Jac LEUNG, the Lecturer of Division of Integrative Systems & Design (ISD) and the Director of the Hub, the hub aims to create a dynamic platform to drive innovation and development in AI education for primary and secondary schools. Prof. LI Mo, Professor of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and the Division of Integrative Systems and Design (ISD) stated that this technology features long-distance communication control and autonomous capability management, allowing adaptation to varied terrains and making it a versatile solution for rescue operations.
