HKUST’s Global Engagement and Communications Office (GECO) has designated AI Lecturers as AI Anchors to report on the University's developments, research achievements, and major events. Division of Emerging Interdisciplinary Areas (EMIA) and HKUST(GZ) Thrust of Computational Media and Arts (CMA) Chair Prof. HUI Pan noted that over 90% of surveyed students expressed a desire for AI lecturers to continue teaching. He added that the University's team is actively working on launching AI Lecturer 2.0, which will feature a Q&A function to enhance teaching interactivity. Associate Vice-President (Global Engagement and Communications) Ms. Daisy CHAN stated that HKUST remains committed to promoting the widespread application of AI technology, exploring its potential, and leading advancements in technology and innovation.
