The Chief Development Strategist and Adjunct Professor of Division of Environment & Sustainability (ENVR), Prof. Christine LOH delivered a keynote speech at the "Sustainable Shipping – Advancing Decarbonization and Diversity in Maritime Practices" seminar, presented by the HK branches of WISTA and the Nautical Institute at the Foreign Correspondents Club last Friday. The data center space race has begun

In an article on data center space race, it was mentioned that two Chinese companies – privately-held Guoxing Aerospace and provincial government firm Zhejiang Lab – have just deployed the first phase of their Xingsuan satellite computing constellation. The Executive Director of Space Science and Technology Institute (SSTI), the Chair Professor of Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering (CIVL) and Division of Environment & Sustainability (ENVR), Prof. SU Hui was quoted as saying that the Xingsuan system could be transformative for Earth observation and defense applications requiring low-latency and high-throughput edge data processing.
