Wesley LEUNG Ka Chun, a Year 4 Dual Degree Program in Technology & Management (T&M-DDP), has awarded the Innovation and Technology Scholarship 2025 based on his passion for innovation and technology, personal quality and upside potential, and willingness to serve the community.
Majoring in Computer Science with an extended major in Artificial Intelligence and General Business Management, Wesley excelled among a competitive pool of applicants in the “Artificial Intelligence and Robotics” area, demonstrating his academic prowess, innovative thinking, and dedication to technological advancement.
Since 2011, the Innovation and Technology Commission (ITC), HSBC and The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups (HKFYG) have jointly launched the Innovation and Technology Scholarship, injecting new impetus into local innovation and technology (I&T) development by nurturing undergraduates with a passion for technological innovation.
Every year, 25 outstanding university students are selected to receive the scholarship of up to HKD150,000 . The Scholarship supports their participation in a series of elite-nurturing initiatives, encompassing overseas/Mainland attachments, local internships, mentorship programs and service projects. By immersing themselves in a unique learning journey, awardees gain cutting-edge I&T knowledge and experience from around the world and are poised to lead I&T integration across sectors upon their return, contributing their expertise and enthusiasm to the I&T future of Hong Kong.
