Wesley LEUNG, a Year 3 student of the Dual Degree Program in Technology & Management (T&M-DDP), has been honored with the Outstanding Service Awards for Tertiary Students 2022-23 in recognition of his outstanding leadership and signification contributions to the community.
His remarkable achievement was commemorated at the Kick-off Ceremony of HKUST Connect’s Global Service Day held yesterday (Apr 18, 2024), with our AIS Dean Prof. Huamin QU presenting the Award. Wesley's involvement in the HKUST Robotics Team and his role as a Student Ambassador of the School of Engineering exemplify his outstanding leadership qualities.
The award selection process is co-organized by the Hong Kong Student Services Association (“HKSSA”) and the Hong Kong Outstanding Tertiary Students’ Services Association (“HKOTSSA”). The selection criteria encompass a proven track record of leadership experiences and organizational skills, outstanding contribution to fellow students, schools/institutions and/or the community, active participation in extra-curricular activities, and satisfactory results in public examinations and current academic studies. Approximately 20 students are selected for the Awards annually.
Let us extend our warm congratulations to Wesley for this exceptional accomplishment!
