The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) won a total of 62 accolades at the 51st International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva (Geneva Inventions Expo). This resounding success underscores the University's exceptional capabilities in "AI + X" interdisciplinary innovation and its commitment to translating cutting-edge research into real-world impact.

Among the impressive list of awards, several innovative projects are led by faculty members from the Academy of Interdisciplinary Studies (AIS) and those with joint appointments in AIS. These accolades reflect AIS faculty’s leadership in driving technical breakthroughs across disciplines—demonstrating how their interdisciplinary research in areas such as AI, robotics, healthcare, and environmental technologies is translating into practical inventions with global impact.
