The 2025 bachelor’s degree graduates from HKUST’s Academy of Interdisciplinary Studies (AIS) maintain strong employability with an average monthly salary of HK$31,981 — 15% higher than the university-wide average, according to the University’s latest Graduate Employment Survey. This outcome stands as a testament to our π-shaped talent, who possess deep expertise in more than one area and a broad set of collaborative skills to thrive in a dynamic job market, amid AI-driven job market contractions.

Demonstrating exceptional versatility across the professional landscape, these graduates secured employment across a diverse range of sectors, including banking and finance, system analysis and computer programming, engineering, and administration and management. During the survey period, 73.5% of the cohort were employed, while 23.4% chose to pursue further studies.

The unique curriculum of our undergraduate programs offers far-sighted combinations of fields with real-world relevance, alongside versatile training in creativity, resilience, analytical thinking, and other practical skills.

This empowers our students to excel in immediate career roles while cultivating the long-term professional growth and leadership capacity needed as the world evolves.
