T&M-DDP 15th Anniversary Dinner

T&M-DDP organized a gala dinner on 9 November 2018 to celebrate its 15th anniversary
2018 is the 15th Anniversary of Dual Degree Program in Technology & Management (T&M-DDP). To celebrate this important milestone, T&M-DDP organized a gala dinner on 9 November 2018 and gathered around 200 alumni, industry partners, faculty, current students and staff to rejoice at the anniversary.
Before the dinner started, Prof. Kai Lung HUI, Co-director of T&M-DDP, presented the current achievements of the program including latest admission statistics, career prospects and outstanding alumni highlights. Followed by, Prof. Chi Ming CHAN, Co-founder of T&M-DDP, brought the guests back to 2003 when T&M-DDP started and showed them how the program was developed along these wonderful 15 years. After that, Prof. Betty LIN, Associate Director of T&M-DDP, showcased the T&M-DDP exclusive corporate-sponsored courses to solicit support from industry partners and alumni.
T&M-DDP invited Mr. Steven CHANG, Corporate Vice President of Tencent to give a keynote speech on “China is knocking - How Tencent is changing the rules of business”. Tencent has over 1 billion active users and its services/ products covers the full spectrum of Chinese digital life. Mr CHANG said technology was changing the culture of China by putting everything online and turning it into a cashless society. He mentioned that digital transformation was generating billions dollars business opportunities every year in China. He further showed Tencent’s future technological and cultural development. He encouraged T&M-DDP students and graduates who possessed both technological and business knowledge to take part in China’s blossoming digital business.
After the presentation, Prof. Kai Lung HUI, Prof. Chi Ming CHAN, Prof. Betty LIN and T&M-DDP Industrial Advisory Board Members: Mr Samson YIP, Mr Andy TSUI and Mr Wilkie WONG, gave a toast on stage to officially start the dinner.
Old friends and new acquaintances mingled and enjoyed the delicacies together. It was a memorable evening for T&M-DDP family.
