The final presentation of TEMG4950M Corporate Consulting Project "Advanced Air Mobility for Arup Aviation" was successfully held on 10 May 2024 at HKUST campus. This event marked the months of hard work and dedication by the student-consultants in the course offered by the Dual Degree Program in Technology & Management (T&M-DDP).

Advanced Air Mobility (AAM), which involves the use of electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing (eVTOL) aircraft and drones, has become a hot topic in both the aviation industry and among venture investors. Throughout the Spring semester in 2023/24, TEMG4950M students developed four pragmatic and innovative proposals focusing on surveillance, emergency services, tourism, and airport connectivity, aiming to elevate AAM to new heights.

Team 2 “NeoCopter” for Tourism and Team 3 “WB Fame” for Emergency Services were selected as the best performing teams by a distinguished panel of judges, including Mr Michael KWOK and Mr Matthew GEVERS from Arup; Mr Adrian MORALES from Aéroports de Paris; and Mr Ian RALPH from Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. As a reward for their outstanding efforts, these winning teams had the opportunity to present their innovative ideas at Arup's office on 31 May 2024, and all other DDP students are welcome to attend the event to support their peers.

Prof. Betty LIN, Associate Director of T&M-DDP and the course instructor, expressed her satisfaction with the students' exceptional performance. The success of this project was made possible through the guidance of Prof. LIN and mentors from Arup, including Ms. Jin FAN, Mr. Jasper HILKHUIJSEN, Mr. Geoffrey MOORE, and Mr. Jack LAM, who provided invaluable support throughout the semester.

We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to Arup for generously sponsoring the course multiple times. Through the ongoing collaboration with T&M-DDP, Arup has provided our students with invaluable real-world, experiential learning opportunities that help bridge the gap between academia and industry.
