Ever wonder what university actually looks like? Peek behind the scenes at HKUST’s Academy of Interdisciplinary Studies (AIS) as we show you our students' real daily lives - rush hours, happy moments, and everything in between!

First up is Hayden from our Individualized Interdisciplinary Major (IIM) program! Instead of choosing from standard majors, IIM students create their own path by picking courses across all Schools at HKUST, or even out of HKUST.

Hayden's blended computer science, math, and ocean science into one unique degree. His day zips between coding labs and oceanography classes, researching with professors, and hitting running team practice! He is also learning to use data to predict natural disasters - aka learning without boundaries!
