Prof. Eun-Soon IM, Associate Professor of the Division of Environment and Sustainability and the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, received the prestigious Climate Science Award from the Korean Meteorological Society (KMS). This honor recognizes her significant contributions to the advancement of climate science through interdisciplinary research and scholarly endeavors that exemplify the effective utilization of climate data to identify how human activities impact regional climate change.
The KMS Climate Science Award was established in 2020 to recognize outstanding academic commitment as well as leadership in advancing the field of climate science. Prof. Im is one of only six recipients of the award since its inception.
KMS aims to promote the advance of atmospheric and climate sciences, encourage the active exchange of information and technologies in nationwide and worldwide, foster the next generation experts, and enhance the technology transfer to the public and private sector.
