Prof. Arthur LAU, Associate Director (Undergraduate Studies) of IPO, has been selected as one of the first recipients of the “SENtastic Staff Award” organized by the Counseling and Wellness Center of HKUST. The award recognizes faculty and staff who strive to create and promote a positive study environment that provides equal opportunity of learning to all students with diverse learning needs.

At the Award Ceremony, SENtastic awardees were honored for their efforts of going above and beyond to promote SEN awareness and build an inclusive and collaborative community. Prof. Arthur LAU was invited on stage to share his experience in helping students with diverse learning needs. Prof. LAU shared that we should listen more than speak and build trust with students. He encouraged students to “knit” network and together build a strong peer support envrionement within HKUST.
