16 IPO students took the opportunity to explore the stunning coastline of South Cheung Chau during a one-day coasteering program organized by IPO on 11 March 2023.

After meeting the experienced trainers at the Cheung Chau Ferry Pier, they took a Sampan and embarked on a short hike to the Reclining Rock, the starting point for traversing the rocky coastline. To ensure everyone's safety, professional trainers provided a safety briefing that included a harness and helmet demonstration.

As the students made their way along the coast, they were treated to stunning views of the surrounding landscape. They had a chance to experience abseiling, which allowed them to get closer to the crystal-clear water, and also challenged themselves to climb a cliff that was 20 meters high.

The coasteering program expanded students’ potentials, built their resilience and improved their bonding with each other. The students appreciated the program which brought them a high sense of accomplishment and a very encouraging atmosphere. Overall, the coasteering program in Cheung Chau was an unforgettable experience that the students would highly recommend to their friends.
