Long Service Award was presented to 43 colleagues this year

The annual Long Service Award Presentation Ceremony was held on 29 March  2019 to express appreciation and recognition to long-serving faculty and staff members who have dedicated their hard work to contribute to the University for at least 20 years. This year, HKUST presented awards to 43 colleagues.

HKUST also conferred its first 30 years’ service award this year.  Despite a history of just 28 years, dozens of administrative staff have begun preparatory work for the campus as early as 1989.

Congratulations to Prof. Jianzhen YU,  PG Coordinator (RPg) of Division of Environment and Sustainability (ENVR) for receiving the Long Service Award 2019!

Officiating at the Ceremony, HKUST President Prof. Wei SHYY expressed his heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the long serving faculty and staff members for their devotion and commitment to the excellence of the University.“ It is amazing to witness this wonderful moment. HKUST has presented over 1000 long service awards since our first ceremony. Without their endeavours and dedication, HKUST won’t become what it is today – an international university recognized for its teaching and research quality.  I hope all our colleagues can keep the passion alive. Together, we will create an even better future.”

Prof. King L. CHOW, Director of IPO and Prof. Jimmy FUNG, Head of ENVR also joined the Ceremony to celebrate the happy moment with fellow awardees.
