A team of five undergraduates from the Division of Integrative Systems and Design (ISD) has won the Gold Award at the ASMPT Technology Award 2025 for their final year project titled “AeroRelief: Drone as First Responder in Time-Critical Emergency Missions”, supervised by Prof. TSUI Chi Ying, Prof. LI Mo, and Dr. Jac LEUNG.
The project presents an integrative system that delivers essential life-sustaining supplies to victims on hiking trails via drone as the first responder. This innovative technology provides rapid access to aid for individuals in medical need, significantly increasing their chances of survival in critical scenarios.
The team consists of FAN Tsz Ho (Hardy), WAN Yan Ki (Ruby), WONG Lai Yin (Garmisch), WONG Pak Long (Jasper), and WU Chun Ming (Jimmy), all of whom are currently Year 4 ISD students. They have received a cash prize of HK$30,000 and secured a HK$100,000 scholarship donation to the University.
The ASMPT Technology Award is an initiative by ASMPT Limited aimed at promoting technological innovation in Hong Kong by recognizing outstanding final year projects in engineering and related fields from invited universities. This year, there were twelve submissions from six universities in Hong Kong.
Congratulations to the team for this remarkable achievement!
