December 3, 2023 marked a joyous occasion as over 400 graduates, along with their guests, gathered at the Shaw Auditorium to participate in the Academy of Interdisciplinary Studies (AIS) session of HKUST’s 31^st Congregation.

“I hope all of you will embark on your next journey confidently with the professional knowledge and skills you have learned at HKUST, the memories of the beautiful views and campus life at Clear Water Bay, and the core values of HKUST: Can-Do spirit, Inclusiveness, Diversity, and Respect.” – The graduation ceremony commenced with Prof. Huamin QU, Dean of AIS, delivering a heartfelt message to the graduates.

Following the Dean’s address, Class of 2023 graduates were presented on stage, including MPhil in Atmospheric Environmental Science (AES), MPhil in Environmental Science, Policy and Management (ESPM), MPhil in Individualized Interdisciplinary Program (IIP), Master of Public Management (MPM), Master of Public Policy (MPP), MSc in Environmental Science and Management (EVSM), BSc in Environmental Management and Technology (EVMT) and BSc in Individualized Interdisciplinary Major (IIM).

As the ceremony drew to a close, Olivia Anne David PEREZ from ESPM and Alice CHAN from EVMT delivered valedictory addresses on behalf of fellow graduates. They shared their reflections and expressed gratitude for the transformative experiences they had encountered throughout their academic journey at AIS and HKUST.
