Spring 2025 marks the successful completion of the course EMIA 2200 “Introduction to Digital Media”, blending theory and practice in digital content creation.

Jointly offered by the Division of Emerging Interdisciplinary Areas (EMIA) and the Media Technology and Publishing Center (MTPC), the course provided students in the Extended Major in Digital Media and Creative Arts (DMCA) with foundational and advanced training in digital photography, cinematography, visual storytelling, and immersive media, alongside hands-on software and hardware instruction.

Using a hybrid teaching model, the course combined lectures, workshops, e-learning resources, and practical exercises to enable students to explore interactive media and data visualization through tailored projects.

The course concluded with a digital showcase of final projects, where students presented works integrating multiple technologies to craft cohesive narratives and demonstrating both technical mastery and creative vision for industry-ready applications.
