The AIS Welcome Party 2024 on Aug 30 was a vibrant event marking the arrival of new postgraduate (PG) and undergraduate (UG) students into the AIS family. This gathering provided an excellent opportunity for new students, faculty, and staff to get to know each other.


The event kicked off with a warm address by Prof. QU Huamin, Dean of AIS, followed by greetings from our faculty members, presentation of the Teaching Excellence Award, and an introduction to student wellness initiatives. An interactive AIS quiz was held to engage students and get them familiarized with AIS.


The event then split into parallel sessions for PG and UG students. During the PG session, the highlight was the presentation of the Best Research Award, recognizing exceptional research conducted by PG students:

Mr CHEN Kehua (IIP PhD, Class of 2024) further shared insights about his research, inspiring fellow students to pursue their own academic endeavors, while Mr WANG Rong (Ron) (MPP, Class of 2024) gave insights on studying TPG programs at AIS.
During the UG session, Prof. Arthur LAU, Associate Dean (Undergraduate Studies) of AIS, presented the Outstanding Student Ambassador (SA) Awards to five AIS SAs who demonstrated commitment and made outstanding contributions to the AIS SA Program in the past academic year:

•    SIN Tsz Yin (Daniel), (T&M-DDP, Year 3)

The AIS Outstanding Community Service Award 2023/24 was presented to TSANG Faan Kei (EVMT, Year 4), acknowledging his dedication to community engagement.


The UG students were then divided into groups led by SAs and competed in mass games, which not only provided entertainment but also fostered team spirit and allowed students to connect with their AIS peers on a deeper level.


As we look forward to the upcoming academic year, we wish all new AIS students a happy and fruitful study life at AIS!
