Held on 31 Aug, the AIS Welcome Party was a delightful event that marked the arrival of new postgraduate (PG) and undergraduate (UG) students into the AIS family. As the first Welcome Party after IPO being renamed as AIS, it provided an opportunity for new students, faculty and staff to come together and join activities such as experience sharing and mass games.
The AIS Welcome Party started with a warm and inspiring address by Prof. Huamin QU, Dean of AIS, followed by greetings from faculty members and a career advising introduction by Ms Vanessa CHAN, AIS Career Advisor. An ice-breaking session and an AIS quiz were also organized to get the students involved in the event.
Afterwards, parallel sessions were held for PG and UG students respectively. At the PG session, Prof. Huamin QU presented the Best Research Award to recognize PG students who had conducted exceptional research:

The awardees further shared more about their research to inspire fellow students to pursue their own research endeavors.
At the UG session, Prof. Arthur LAU, Associate Dean (Undergraduate Studies) of AIS, presented the Outstanding Student Ambassador (SA) Award to 5 AIS SAs who were committed and had outstanding contributions to AIS SA Program:

Mass games brought the UG students closer together and built up their team spirit. Through a series of fun activities, students not only had a blast but also had the opportunity to connect with their fellow AIS peers on a deeper level.
