The AIS Welcome Back & CNY Celebration was successfully held on February 5, 2025, bringing AIS members together for an afternoon of warmth and festivity.
AIS Dean Prof. QU Huamin shared opening words about the Year of the Snake, noting how the snake symbolizes wisdom in Chinese culture. He expressed his hope for more such gatherings to foster genuine interactions, which would spark energy and happiness among our community.
Associate Deans Prof. Arthur LAU (Undergraduate Studies), Prof. Kira MATUS (Taught Postgraduate Studies), and Prof. NING Zhi (Research and Graduate Studies) joined Prof. Qu for a commemorative photo, followed by a joyous group photo with all participating faculty, staff, and students.
The crowd stayed to enjoy festive refreshments, including freshly made egg puffs, takoyaki, and other traditional snacks. The Fai Chun writing activity was a highlight of the event, with over 40 participants receiving red envelopes, some containing special prizes. A photo booth was also set up for capturing memorable moments of the celebration.
As we embark on the Spring semester, we wish everyone a prosperous and wisdom-filled Year of the Snake!
