AIS Lightning Talk cum Best Research Award 2024/25 Presentation Ceremony
The AIS Lightning Talk cum Best Research Award 2024/25 presentation ceremony was held successfully on May 7, 2025.
AIS Dean Prof. QU Huamin opened the event by presenting the AIS Best Research Award to recipients in attendance at the ceremony. The awards were distributed across multiple categories:
MPhil Category (CWB):
- First Prize: Ms. Chloe CHAN (MPhil in Environmental Science, Policy and Management (ESPM), Class of 2024)
PhD Category (CWB):
- First Prize: Dr. Stefano MINGOLLA (PhD in Environmental Science, Policy and Management (ESPM), Class of 2024)
- Merit Prize: Ms. FAN Yuwen (PhD in Atmospheric Environmental Science (AES), Year 4)
PhD Category (GZ Pilot Scheme):
- First Prize: Mr. TANG Jianheng (PhD in Individualized Interdisciplinary Program (IIP), Year 4)
- Merit Prize: Dr. HUANG Chunxi (PhD in Individualized Interdisciplinary Program (IIP), Class of 2024)
Following the award presentation, 3 of the awardees took the stage to share their insightful research, which provided a valuable opportunity for the audience to appreciate the depth and innovation behind these award-winning research:
- Division of Environment and Sustainability (ENVR): Dr. Stefano MINGOLLA – “Interdisciplinary modeling and simulation for data-driven analysis of trade-offs in technology deployment and policy design for a sustainable transition”
- Division of Environment and Sustainability (ENVR): Ms. FAN Yuwen – “Evaluating Irrigation Effects in the North China Plain by Regional Climate Models”
- Information Hub: Mr. TANG Jianheng – “Research by revisiting and rethinking”
Followed by the awardee’s presentation is the Lightning Talk, featuring the following presentations that further facilitated the exchange of research ideas among faculty members and RPg students:
