IPO Student Ambassador (SA) Award Ceremony and Appreciation Gathering was held on 30 September 2021. Prof. Huamin QU, Director of IPO, thanked the Student Ambassadors for their contributions  and presented certificates to all the recognized Student Ambassadors of 2020/21. Students then joined a nice dinner and shared the SA and outreach experience of the past year.

Although many face-to-face sharing and activities were cancelled or postponed due to the pandemic of COVID-19, our Student Ambassadors still offered help online via social media, email exchanges, Webinar, Zoom platforms etc to share their study lives and promote their IPO experiences.  To celebrate their efforts and contributions, we gathered together at the Appreciation Gathering with an award ceremony and dinner.

IPO Student Ambassador Program aims to train up a pool of student ambassadors to best represent IPO and promote our undergraduate programs. Student Ambassadors liaise with their alma maters to schedule sharing sessions and represent IPO in outreach events for secondary school students. The program serves as an effective channel to allow prospective students to know more about the unique features of IPO programs and exciting university life. It is also a good chance to polish current students’ presentation and communication skills. 

Five IPO SA have been selected as the “2020/21 Outstanding Student Ambassador” based on their commitment, service hours and performance.  In the past year, they have assisted the IPO in promotional activities such as student sharing and corporate video shooting, organized a sharing session at their alma maters, offered advice and answered enquiries to prospective students as IPO Buddy, shared their study life on IPO’s social media platforms and offered their help in different IPO outreach events. Each of them received a certificate, gift card of HK$300, and a personalised reference letter written by our Career Advisor.
