Four Technology and Management Dual Degree students, Steven Cheung Wut Lik (Final Year), Connie Chow Hiu Ying(Final Year), Calvin Au-Yeung Yat Hung(2nd Year) and Yennie Ma Miu Yin(2nd Year), were nominated to represent HKUST to participate in the Stockholm School of Economics (SSE) 2009 International Case Competition in Sweden.
To celebrate the SSE’s 100th anniversary, representative students from 12 leading business schools around the world were invited to compete against each other in the art of cracking cases.
The SSE 2009 International Case Competition was held on March 5 – 7, 2009. During these four days, participants had the opportunities to experience Swedish culture and create a global network through city tour, company visit and various social activities with SSE students, Swedish Multinationals, partners of the school and of the competition.
12 top ranked undergraduate schools invited from across the globe were brought together in this multicultural and multidisciplinary event. Each team of four students was given 24 hours to analyze and prepare a case. Following case preparation, each school presented their analysis and recommendations to a panelist of distinguished judges, some of which were members of the management team of the case company.
