Risk Management and Business Intelligence Program (RMBI) students are required to complete a capstone project in group in their final study year.  Capstone Projects are sponsored by companies which offer real business cases for students to apply their knowledge to analyze the problems and provide solutions. The past supporting companies came from diverse fields such as Hospital Authority, Towngas, Dairy Farm, IBM, Wing Lung Bank, Société Générale and AIA Group.  Best 4 Capstone Projects are awarded each year to recognize students’ efforts and achievements.

 

Award for Outstanding RMBI Capstone Projects Presentation Ceremony 2015/16 was held on 15 June 2016 to present awards to the best 4 Capstone Projects listed below:

 

1Project Title: Develop a real-time display system for Daily Trade

 Supervisor:  Prof. Lei CHEN

 Students:HUI Sin Hang, CHIU Ting Fung, CHOW Yuet Tsz

   

2Project Title: PD estimation for credit exposure measurement

 Supervisor: Prof. Xianhua PENG

 Students:WONG Yuen Man and THIO Po Sang

   

3Project Title: Discovery on the correlation of product mix and ordering with open data and predicting the optimal product mix and ordering plan over cloud platform

 Supervisor: Dr. Adela LAU

 Students:

CHAN Chun Ting, TAM Kiu Fai and NG Man Wai

   

4Project Title: A predictive model to forecast the downturn of the US hotel business using social media and macro-economic factors approach

 Supervisor: Dr. Kris PAN

 Students:CHAN Lee Chung, TSE Chun Him, HO Pak To
