Crisis Management and Lessons from the COVID-19 crises

Division of Public Policy (PPOL) of HKUST and the Department of Asian & Policy Studies (APS) of The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) co-organized an annual seminar on “Policy Dialogue Series” to explore contemporary public policy challenges facing Hong Kong. The latest seminar on the theme of “Crisis Management and Lessons from the COVID-19 crises” was held online on 28 March 2020 with more than 80 participants.

 

Given the 2019 social unrest in Hong Kong, as well as the 2020 pandemic outbreak. Prof. Anthony CHEUNG Bin-Leung, Research Chair Professor, Department of Asian and Policy Studies, EdUHK, and Prof. James WONG, Assistant Professor of Social Science Education, Division of Social Science & Division of Public Policy (PPOL), HKUST, and Dr. Alex HE, Associate Professor and Associate Head (Research and Development) of Department of Asian and Policy Studies, EdUHK shared their thoughts and discussed on the political ideology of the HKSAR Government in the era of Chief Executive Carrie LAM’s administration with focuses on (1) How the 2019 political crisis and 2020 health crisis affects the society; (2) what has the government done and (3) how Mrs. Carrie LAM react toward these crises.
