AIS Chinese New Year Fireside Chat Strengthens Community Bonds

The AIS Fireside Chat, held on February 25 during the Chinese New Year, was concluded with joy and camaraderie. This delightful gathering brought together over 35 undergraduate and postgraduate students, faculty, and staff members, highlighting the strong sense of community at the Academy of Interdisciplinary Studies (AIS).

At AIS, we believe that the voices of our students matter greatly. The Fireside Chat offered a wonderful opportunity to strengthen the bonds between students and faculty/staff in a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. Prof. Arthur LAU, our Associate Dean (Undergraduate Studies), led an engaging and encouraging conversation with students from different cohorts and programs. It was inspiring to hear students’ insights, especially on building rapport between students and faculty.

In addition to meaningful discussions, the participants enjoyed the refreshments, accompanied by laughter and enriching conversations in a welcoming environment. As a special touch for the Chinese New Year, the fortune sticks, fortune bags and giant pineapple buns were featured as tokens of our good wishes and blessings for everyone’s future.

We extend our warmest gratitude to all who supported this event, and a heartfelt thank you to you for being part of our community! Your participation made it a memorable occasion.

Please stay tuned for our upcoming AIS wellness events, and don’t miss out on updates from aiswellness@ust.hk!
