We are delighted to share that Prof. Celine SONG Yunya, Associate Head and Professor of the Division of Emerging Interdisciplinary Areas (EMIA), has been elected Vice President of the International Chinese Communication Association (ICCA), and will assume the role of President in two years.
Founded in 1990 and headquartered in the United States, ICCA is the oldest international professional society dedicated to advancing scholarly research on Chinese communication. Its focus spans Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, the global Chinese diaspora, and Chinese influence abroad.
As written in ICCA’s official announcement, “Dr. Song brings with her a strong record of scholarship, leadership, and service to the field of Chinese communication studies.” Her election reflects international recognition of her interdisciplinary impact and long-standing contributions to the field of communication.
As Vice President, she will support ICCA’s strategic development and global engagement. In two years, she will assume the role of President - continuing to shape the future of Chinese communication scholarship on the world stage.
