Prof. Alex Jingwei HE, Associate Professor of the Division of Public Policy (PPOL) and Acting Director of the Institute for Public Policy (IPP), is reappointed as a Member of the Assessment Panel for Competitive Research Funding Schemes for the Local Self-financing Degree Sector (APSF) of Hong Kong Research Grants Council (RGC). Following an invitation from RGC Chairman Prof. Timothy W. TONG, Prof. He will continue to serve on the panel from March 1, 2025, to February 28, 2027.
As a policy scientist, Prof. He works within the H-panel, which focuses on humanities and social sciences research proposals. His responsibilities include assessing funding applications, monitoring project progress, and ensuring funded research aligns with Hong Kong's educational and developmental needs.
Having first joined the panel in 2020, Prof. He is one of the APSF's longest-serving members. This reappointment recognizes his valuable contributions to academic research evaluation and dedication to enhancing Hong Kong's research capabilities in the self-financing higher education sector.
