TEMG4950L “T&M Corporate Consulting Project: Global ETF Dashboard for JPMC” successfully concluded with the final presentation competition held at J.P. Morgan Hong Kong office on 1 Dec 2023.
As a prominent player in the Exchange Traded Funds (ETF) investment, JPMorgan Chase Bank (JPMC) challenged our undergraduate students to provide a pragmatic innovation to maintain its competitive edge in the market. After 13-week coaching by the course instructor Prof. Betty LIN and meetings with multi-disciplined professionals from JPMC, our students have designed their global ETF sales dashboards which would include trends and summarized information from news and social media, alongside quantitative metrics publicly available on JPMC’s own products as well as her competitors.
They showcased their dashboard and proposals in front of the judging panel comprising senior management and subject experts from JPMC at the final presentation competition. Two teams were selected as the winners for their technical and financial feasible solutions eventually. Winning team “PureChase” (Team 3), consisted of Jayson CHEUNG (T&M-DDP), Shafira MONICA (T&M-DDP), Josiah NG (COMP), Mars TUNG (QFIN), David WANG (T&M-DDP) and Michael WANG (T&M-DDP), enabled ETF planners and researchers to identify new opportunities by sector, market, and/or asset class. Another winning team “AlphaPlutus” (Team 4), including Michael BLANCHETTE (T&M-DDP), Karson CHAN (RMBI), Jason KAN (T&M-DDP), Richie LEE (T&M-DDP), Sid NATARANJAN (CPEG) and Andy YUNG (T&M-DDP), better positioned the firm’s ETFs and empowered ETF sales for client pitches and meetings.
Many congratulations to the winning teams and the Most Valuable Players (MVP) of each team!
